01 A better way to use AI in your trading
Use ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini to research, challenge and review your trade ideas, without treating a chatbot like a crystal ball.
Six practical prompts, a one-page risk sheet and a clear introduction to the approach. A working sample of the Toolkit, not a sales brochure.

02 The confidence trap
Ask an AI tool a question about a market and you’ll usually get a confident answer. That is exactly why you need to be careful.
It can miss context, make things up, reinforce your assumptions, and produce a very convincing answer that is simply wrong. The answer isn’t to ignore it. It’s to use it differently.
The Sceptic’s Desk is built on one principle: AI should be your analyst, not your decision-maker.
03 The Sceptic’s Method
Make AI do the work it is good at: structuring information, testing assumptions and helping you see what you missed.
Gather information, analyse the market and build context before you form a view.
Interrogate the first answer. Ask what is missing, assumed, or presented too confidently.
Make AI argue the other side of your trade idea rather than reflect it back to you.
Apply your own judgement, define your risk, and keep the final decision human.
Record what happened, then use the evidence to improve the process next time.
04 In practice
About twenty minutes, using four of the six tools in the Toolkit. Here is what that looks like from the inside.
Worked example · illustrative numbers
Nothing in that sequence told you what to trade.
Every step told you what you had not checked.
The starting point
£5,000 in the account and a strong stock that has pulled back to its 50-day average. Entry 228.50, stop 224.00, target 237.00. It feels right. Feeling right is not a reason.
Research · Prompt Vault 09
You
Here’s what happened to [instrument] over the last six weeks: [facts]. What are the plausible reasons, and how confident should I be in each? Don’t guess beyond the evidence.
What comes back
Three candidate drivers, ranked. Two rest on results published last month and are probably in the price. The third it flags as unverified.
Challenge · Prompt Vault 15
You
Imagine it’s a year from now and this trade was a mistake. Write the post-mortem. What went wrong, in order of likelihood?
What comes back
Third pullback in six weeks, each shallower on lighter volume. A pattern more consistent with distribution than accumulation.

Check · Trade Checklist

Record · The Sceptic’s Journal
Instrument, reason, how you felt, whether you followed the plan. Twenty of those and you can finally see whether your discipline is real or theoretical.
05 The full system
Free prompts give you questions. The Sceptic’s Method gives you a process, and a point at which it tells you to stop.
Where AI fits in a trading workflow, and where it should not.
Research markets, interrogate strategies, challenge assumptions and review performance.
A repeatable pause between a trade idea and an order, including post-trade review.
Expectancy, position sizing, reward-to-risk and drawdown recovery without the fog.
Size the trade to the stop and the risk you chose, not to the hope you feel.
A trade log designed to be reviewed, not just filled in and forgotten.
06 Look inside
Real pages from the actual products, not mock-ups of something we intend to build later. Tap any one to read it full size.
07 Try before you buy
The Starter Pack is not a teaser engineered to frustrate you into buying. It is a small, useful sample of the system.
Numbered 05, 12, 14, 26, 31 and 37, exactly as they appear in the full Prompt Vault, so nothing has to be re-learned later.
The core risk arithmetic on a single page you can keep beside you.
What the method is, why it exists, and how to run it this week.
08 Is it for you?
Beginner to intermediate. You need to know what a stop-loss is. You don’t need to know anything about AI.
09 Questions, answered
No, and that’s deliberate. The Toolkit is built to improve how you research and decide. What you trade stays your call.
No. The prompts can be adapted for ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and other tools, including their free tiers.
Beginner to intermediate. If you’re new, the guide starts from what AI trading actually means and builds up. If you already trade, the Vault, checklist and journal drop into the process you’re running now without asking you to change it.
No. The prompts are written to be copied, pasted and adapted.
No. One payment of £89 with lifetime access to the version you buy.
There are no guarantees, and anyone promising otherwise should make you sceptical. Markets are uncertain. The Toolkit improves your process; it does not promise an outcome.
Yes. Start with the free Starter Pack and try the approach for yourself.
Where this leaves you
The Sceptic’s Toolkit gives you the prompts, processes and practical tools to build AI into your trading workflow without handing over your judgement.
